Northstar Network Ltd. Receives AS9100B Certification
October 23, 2009St. John’s NL - Northstar Network Ltd. (Northstar) announced today that its management system has been certified to AS9100B standards by QMI, North America's leading management systems registrar.
AS9100 certification is the gold standard in the aviation industry and is reserved only for aviation companies with superior commitments to service for their clients. As the first global aerospace quality standard, it includes aerospace requirements applied to, and integrated with, ISO 9001. Based on ISO 9001, but with nearly 100 additional requirements specific to aerospace, the AS9100 standard was established by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) for the purpose of achieving significant industry improvements in quality and safety, and reductions in cost throughout the value stream. Holders of this certification are internationally recognized as qualified suppliers to the industry and are registered in the industries worldwide Online Aerospace Suppliers
Information System (OASIS).
